Ms. Jennifer Vernieri
Ms. Jennifer Vernieri is honored to assume the role as the Director of Planning, Research and Evaluation and District Test Coordinator in the Belleville School District. Prior to working in Belleville, Ms. Vernieri served as the Supervisor of Elementary Education in Madison, New Jersey. Ms. Vernieri has an appreciation for best practices in education, along with the hard work and preparation that is necessary to provide an effective educational program for teachers and students. She enjoys collaborating with the Central Office Administrative Team to continue to raise the bar in Belleville.
Ms. Vernieri has been in education for 24 years and has earned her New Jersey certifications as a principal, supervisor, reading specialist, and elementary school teacher. She is also Orton Gillingham trained. Ms. Vernieri began her career as a teacher in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where she taught a variety of grade levels, including many years as a reading specialist. During her time spent in the Wyckoff School District, she was an instrumental force in designing professional development and academic support programs.
Ms. Vernieri received her collegiate education at William Paterson University (WPU), where she majored in Elementary Education and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She then went on to receive her Masters of Education from WPU and a second Masters of Educational Leadership at the College of St. Elizabeth.
Ms. Vernieri resides with her three children who motivate and make her laugh every day. She enjoys reading, exercising, taking ballet classes, and attending her children’s school and sporting events. As a family, they enjoy spending summers in Long Beach Island, going on hikes, watching movies, and cooking together.
