Mrs. Isabelle Ramirez
Mrs. Isabelle Ramirez joined the Belleville Public School District in July 2019 as the Supervisor of Student Personnel Services (7-12). She is also the district McKinney- Vento/ Homeless Liaison.
Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Ramirez worked as a Supervisor of School Counseling for one year and as a School Counselor for the preceding sixteen years. As a bi-lingual educator, Mrs. Ramirez is able to communicate with many members of the community. She brings valuable experience to the Belleville Schools in the area of program implementation, as well as counseling skills, in the capacities of academic, college, career, and personal counseling. She is passionate about fostering relationships and developing meaningful connections with students and the community at large as a way to best support each student’s individual needs.
Mrs. Ramirez is actively involved in professional counseling and administrative organizations such as NJSCA (New Jersey School Counselor Association) and NJPSA (New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association). She serves on the Executive Board for the Essex County School Counselors Association as the treasurer and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2000 from The College of New Rochelle and her Master of Arts in School Counseling in 2004, also from The College of New Rochelle. She went on to pursue her Director of School Counseling and Supervisor Certificates along with a second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.
When Mrs. Ramirez is not working, she spends her time with her husband and two sons. They enjoy being active together with sports and traveling. Movie nights are also a huge hit at the Ramirez home!
