Christine Lamparello

A resident of Belleville for 18 years, Christine Lamparello is in her 3rd term as President of the Belleville Board of Education and has served on the board as a Trustee for five years.

An active volunteer within the schools where her children attended and other school-based organizations, Mrs. Lamparello felt that becoming a member of the Belleville Board of Education was how she could continue to serve the children of this community.

As a veteran Belleville Board of Education member, Mrs. Lamparello has seen several of the initiatives she had hoped to accomplish when initially running for the board come to fruition.  For example, the Rise and Shine program which provides breakfast free of charge to every student; the district 1:1 Chromebook initiative; and her support of the construction referendum project which provided necessary upgrades to all district schools as well as attaining ADA compliance for all students and community members. However, it is Mrs. Lamparello’s experience as a preschool teacher that has shown her firsthand the need to provide children with a strong education at a young age. Because of this experience, the Belleville preschool expansion initiative is something she is very passionate about knowing that it will provide children with the head start they deserve.

While all these goals have become successes, you will not find Mrs. Lamparello slowing down. She, along with the other board members, are working towards the completion of the district's referendum projects that will provide the community with the ADA compliance that has been lacking for many years.

Mrs. Lamparello has been a volunteer with the Special Olympics, Boy Scouts of America and the Belleville Color Run. She also continues her education as a board member having received her New Board Member Certification in 2018 and becoming a Certified Board Member in 2019. She most recently received her Master Board Member Certification as well.

When she is not volunteering, continuing her education, or managing her business, Garden State Brass Ensemble, you will find her spending time with her sons and like many of us, working on her constantly growing “bucket list.”
