My name is Maria Coyle and I attended Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York where I received a Bachelor Degree in Education and English and a Master Degree in Counseling. I taught High School English at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in the Bronx from 1997-2001. I started working at Belleville Public Schools in September 2001, as a Middle School counselor. I transferred to Belleville High School in 2002 where I was a counselor and acted as the Anti-Bullying Specialist and SAC. Also, I was an Advisor for the Peers Educating Peers club and
ran Project Graduation for years. I decided to move back to the Middle School as a counselor and I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2016. The Drop-In-Center was created in 2018 and that is where I
continue to work. I am very passionate about mental health and really want to try and stop the stigma that goes along with it. I love cats and dogs, I have 3 cats and 1 dog. The Hallmark Channel and Law and Order is what you will find on my T.V. I love New York City because it truly is the greatest city in the world!
My extension at the Belleville Middle School Drop-In-Center is: 2012
