Mr. Richard Henry
Rich Henry has been with the Belleville Public Schools District for 18 years in the Maintenance Department, serving 14 years as a Carpenter/Foreman and the last 4 years as the Facilities Manager and Plant Engineer. Mr. Henry is a 1975 graduate of Belleville High School where he was one of the first students to enroll in the Cooperative Education Program (CEP), learning trades from retired instructor, Mr. Nick Grande. As a graduate of CEP, Mr. Henry attained a job placement at Modern Millwork in Belleville where he worked to master his craft prior to coming to work for the Belleville Board of Education.
Mr. Henry obtained his Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM) license and continues to work with his crews to maintain building infrastructures while expanding facilities to enhance program capacities in all district schools. He has been instrumental in working alongside the superintendent and Board of Education in designing and completing district-wide beautification projects to advance the educational climate and atmosphere for the entire school community.
The corridors of Belleville High School are where Mr. Henry also met his sweetheart and future wife. He continues to reside in Belleville where he and Mrs. Henry raised 3 children. Mr. Henry is now a grandfather, and when he is not with his family he enjoys working on "muscle cars" and fishing in his spare time.
