There was a special visitor from the North Pole awaiting revelers at the end of Wednesday’s Drive-Through Spectacular.
Volunteers from several municipal departments, local businesses and civic groups – such as the Rubber Ducky Organization – participated in the Drive-Through Spectacular.

Residents got little gifts and treats from the safety of their own vehicles.
The official ribbon cutting for the Hornblower Early Childhood Center was held Saturday. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Richard Tomko was joined by State Senator Teresa Ruiz, Assistant State Education Commissioner Cary Booker, Essex County Executive Superintendent Joseph Zarra and others for the event.
The school district is hoping to quite literally provide the building blocks for a successful future inside the classrooms at the Hornblower Early Childhood Center.

There were signs everywhere at Saturday's ribbon cutting event that the staff and students at Hornblower are diligent about hand hygiene and other safety protocols.
A state-approved Creative Curriculum is used for the pre-K students at the Hornblower Early Childhood Center.
